CHET TODD HISTORY
For the last 50 years, the Chet Todd Memorial Golf Tournament (CTMGT), a 501c3 charitable organization, has been raising money for the children of South Texas. Over the past few years, the main beneficiaries have been the Texas Lion's Camp for Kids, The First Tee of San Antonio, and Seton Care-A-Van in Marble Falls, TX.
History:
Although originally started by Mr. Chet Todd, at the time a Vice President of AT&T, as a networking event for his Texas AT&T employees, the tournament soon began raising money for Texas charities. After his death, the tournament was renamed the Chet Todd Memorial Golf Tournament to honor the great work done by Mr. Todd and it is run and managed by members of SATEGA GOLF, a stroke play golf league based in San Antonio which was founded in 1953. SATEGA GOLF members have volunteered their time and efforts to make the CTMGT one of the finest golf events in Texas. Attendees come from all over Texas, and several come from other states to enjoy a relaxing weekend getaway in the Texas Hill Country.
